Where the Windmill Blows

Category: Sense of Place

During a summer road trip, I had passed through a portion of the state of Indiana where a long stretch of windmills dominate the prairie landscape covering an approximate distance of 17 miles. This awesome display of these structures captures a unique moment where windmills span a length as far as they eye can see, almost as if they are part of some sort of extra-terrestrial invasion. This image tries to capture that moment using a black and white composition with an immediate windmill in the foreground coupled with a multitude of them in the background under gloomy skies.
