Accidental, awe-inspiring and audacious

This wasn't actually accidental! My tripod and I were set up underneath the Stari Most in Mostar. I was photographing the obvious. A bridge steeped in history, a UNESCO world heritage site and recently rebuilt after Bosnian-Croat artillery fire destroyed it during the mid 90s. Whilst attempting a few long shutter speed shots of the bridge itself some activity across the river caught my attention. Lots of hysterically excited children many of which sought asylum in Scandinavia during the war. Personally for me this photograph captures a spontaneous moment with surprising tranquility ...
