I chanced upon this lotus outside a traditional Thai sculptor's shop on Charoennakorn Road. This solitary lotus in bloom looked stunningly beautiful. The wispy petals and delicate texture of this lotus are a visual treat. The seeds obtained from this flower are a favored ingredient and flavor in Thai cooking. The only other experience that compares to appreciating its beauty is feeling its softness.
