Not Your Stereotypical Hyena

From a distance our guide pointed out this hyena nursing her to young. Almost hidden by shadows and fallen leaves and grasses, she was unaware of our presence. Fortunately, I was ablle to zoom in to photograph this tender, motherly moment.
