Elizabeth is a Ngabe woman form the Comarca Ngabe - Bugle reservation in Panama. She is a recently single mother as she left her husband who has a drinking problem and beat her and their children. She had to leave her home to find work outside of the reservation so that she can support her children. She has to leave her children with her step mother while she works and returns home only every few weeks to bring money to her family. Here she is celebrating the 1st birthday of her youngest son Inuk with a shared meal of chicken and rice.
Location: Comarca Ngabe - Bugle, Panama
