While the world wondered whether the rapture was going to happen, Nature reminded us of its beauty and awesome powers. Deciding to forego a night dive last May 21, I tinkered around with my new Canon S95 trying to learn its features and settings for a night shot. While just aiming for a decent horizon shot, I was gifted with this spontaneous display of raw energy. A lucky shot that will forever be my first unplanned lightning shot.
