Lao Beijing
Category: Travel Portraits
Photo and caption by Wesley Wong
A performance artist dresses up as a walking life like sculpture. Throughout China you will often see large life like black clay and stone sculptures of Chinese people in traditional chinese dress. It’s a reminder of the days gone by. I caught this performance troupe casually walking through the crowds during one of the many Spring Festival street celebrations held every year at Chinese New Years in Beijing, China. (Lao Beijing means “Old Beijing”)
Location: Beijing, China
