Beijing seems one of the wildest places for driving, as evidenced by this photo. Some large intersections are without traffic lights, stop signs or any other obvious (at least to us Westerners) method of "order on the road". In July 2009, while riding with our tour guide, I grabbed my camera and captured a moment which I feared would be followed by a terrible accident. It was not and the woman rode off into the distance safe and sound.
