One comes away from viewing multiple images of the face of king Jayavarman VII, with the dual sense of his loving, yet formidable character. Located in the Bayon Temple, in the ancient Khmer city of Angkor Thom, Cambodia, this image demonstrates the work of his stone masons, presenting the king's face presiding over the entirety of his domain.
