White Circle Moon Over Carcassonne

Category: Sense of Place

Weary from two full days travel, I hardly looked out the window of my room in La Cite, Carcassonne, France, but fell into bed to sleep. Then, during the night, a silver glow bathed my face, awakening me to this sight. A land of magic beckoned, a place where old ghosts still wander cobble-stoned streets, and spirits soar in soft white clouds around the moon.
