A Tibetan Chinese Buddhist comes to the end of her long pilgrimage to the Sertri Gompa temple, made in a series of devotional prostrations, on December 6, 2010 in Langmusi, a village on the border of China's Sichuan and Gansu provinces. Believers such as these often take many months to cover the distance of their pilgrimage. They advance forward by lowering themselves to the ground, extending themselves and marking their reach, scrambling to their feet to walk to their mark, and repeating the whole process all day long.
Location: Langmusi, China.
