Road Block

Driving through the Pilanesberg Game Reserve during my first trip to the continent of Africa, I was amazed enough to have seen zebras, giraffes, and rhinos up close and personal. The park gates were to close at 7pm, so at 6:45 we headed back toward the exit...little did we know, we should have planned ahead for traffic. Up ahead - right in the middle of the road - was this guy, strutting with a combination of leisure, arrogance, and authority. Apparently this close of an encounter was incredibly rare within the park, so far be it from us to interrupt his evening stroll!
Location: Pilanesberg Game Reserve, South Africa
