Terraced rice fields

Category: Sense of Place

Here is a typical scenery who made Sapa's reputation. Hillside shaped by men's hands, turned into fertile ground. As the seasons go by, rice fields offer a very changing view, colourful, from yellow to intense green just before the harvest of the rice. But it's when the sun succeeds to break through the sky and hurts the ground of its holy rays that this scenery offers you a wonderful light and just makes you out of breath.

Location: Vietnam, Sapa
