A Daily Walk
Category: Sense of Place
Photo and caption by Nicola Bugeja
A local is carrying sticks in Antigua, the old capital city of Guatemala. The local represents many others of his Maya community who walk long distances each day to collect logs and sticks. The wood will either warm the family hut or manifest itself in artisan carvings. The local's clothes, woven, are another aspect of Maya artisan production.
Location: Antigua, Guatemala
