Sea Eagles & Storms
Category: Sense of Place

Looking north along the beach at Stockton Bight, Worimi Conservation Lands, June 2011. Despite being an increasingly popular visitor & 4wd destination, the mid-winter weather meant that it was about as quiet as it gets out there. A squally day with periods of heavy rain meant that this amazing stretch of coast was empty. The most company we had for the day were numerous juvenile and adult sea eagles. Whilst the popularity of the place is evident in the vehicle tracks, it's still a unique place that can provide a sense vastness, wildness & Worimi culture.
Location: Stockton Bight, Newcastle, Australia
