Category: Sense of Place
Photo and caption by Ana Carvalho
9 years after the end of the civil war in Angola, it is still possible to see the remains of the war, a war which, despite the enormous devastation it caused, could not destroy the beauty of the country. In the background of the photo is Cuanza River, one of the beautiful locations of the country, which flows into the Atlantic Ocean south of Luanda, the capital of Angola. The photo was taken on 26th December 2010.
Location: Cuanza River, Angola
