This portrait of a young herdsman was taken in Maasai-steppe south of Arusha/ Tanzania. In the back a group of Maasai elders is waiting for a drilling company to find what they have never had in this area: clean drinking water close to their village. Another evidence of the fast shift from an old nomadic culture to the unknown future of a sedentary life.
