My spirits soared with the prayer flags flying in the cold wind on a high mountain pass in the Indian Himalaya. After days of trekking, I forgot about the cold and the thin air. The prayer flags reflect the beauty and peace of this remote place and bring back my sense of inner peace. From this pass I gazed in awe in all directions, at range upon range of mountains across Ladakh and beyond.
