Kek Lok Si

Kek Lok Si Temple on Penang Hill, Malaysia with Ban Po Thar (Ten Thousand Buddha Pagoda) at night. I arrived in the late afternoon and learned that the temple would close early that night because of a festival. However, without requests, the locals offered me to stay in the temple's premises, as long as I would stay away from the festival rooms. I was more than happy to comply, as the Festival of the Lights was still going on at the same time, and more then 30,000 lights were lit after sunset around the entire temple.
Location: Penang, Malaysia
