Gentle Eyes

Category: Travel Portraits

Photo and caption by Elias Jerusalem

After I got stuck on the muddy roads of Northern Kenya, a Turkana family invited me to rest in their house. I fell asleep. When I woke up this young boy was sitting in front of me in the light of a kerosene lamp, looking at me like this for minutes. Even today, when I look at this picture I am still totally captivated by the getleness that lies in his eyes.

Location: Marura, Northern Kenya
