Category: Sense of Place

Photo and caption by James P Gleason

The Temple of Kom Ombo (seen here from the bank of the Nile) is in fact two mirrored temples in one structure. The temple nearest the river was built for Sobek, the Crocodile God; the temple furthest from the river was built for Horus, the Falcon God. (Nikon CoolPix S4, 6mm lens, f3.5, .52 sec, ISO 200)
