The Guiding Path

Category: Sense of Place

A friend had asked for pictures of the Holy Sepulchre when I was visiting Jerusalem, and rather than ask for directions like any intelligent person, I had taken it in my head to simply wander the Old City until I came upon it. When it was nearing dusk and I realized that I really had no idea where I was going, I was just about to ask a shopkeep for help when I saw the cozy warmth of the lights reflected from the stones. After taking two snap shots, I walked through the corridor - and discovered the Holy Sepulchre waiting on the other side. It seems my eyes and my feet had been guided for me!

Location: Jerusalem, Israel
