Girls Resting - The Bahamas
Category: Spontaneous Moments
Photo and caption by Heather Carey
Every Christmas and New Years the Bahamian people celebrate with a Junkanoo parade, our version of Carnivale. This 10 - 14 hour parade in Nassau consists of many groups competing for the win, with thousands of dancers, drummers, bellers, and horn blowers giving it their all throughout the downtown streets from around midnight to 10 - 11am in the morning. I happened to capture these two sleeping beauties at the end of the parade, resting their weary feet.
Location: Nassau, Bahamas
