Spiritual evening at the banks of holy River Ganga
Category: Outdoor Scenes

Holy River Ganga is often referred to as 'Maa' - hindi word for Mother. Just like how we feel comfortable sharing our joys and pains with our mum, the devotees feel the same respect, love and comfort in sharing their special moments with this sacred river. Hindu scriptures state the importance of this river right from birth to death. And just like sometimes mothers are taken for granted, the river has also faced this for granted attitude and is severely polluted in several parts but is being restored. This picture depicts the serenity at banks of this river in Haridwar, India
Location: Haridwar, Uttaranchal, India
