Holi Day in Indian Market
Category: Travel Portraits
Photo and caption by Dylan Herman
Never have I experienced such a joyous and wide spread festival than while in India during Holi Day in 2011. Holi Day is a religious festival celebrated by Hindus, also known as the Festival of Colours. I captured the excitement of five Indian boys in the Ranikhet market not only covered in such vibrant colors that are used to celebrate the holiday, but dressed in them as well. This is a great depiction of the vibrancy of the Indian culture that I was fortunate to observe.
Location: Ranikhet, Uttarakhand - northern India.
