I noticed this fascinating cloud formation while driving into Sun Valley, ID and I quickly pulled over to capture the image. There is something quite ominous about this particular formation and yet it mesmerizes me because it is so unusual. At our elevation of approximately 6,000 ft (ground level) we see a lot of interesting weather patterns which create unique "sky artwork".
