Faces of the Moon

Category: Sense of Place

Photo and caption by Mikaela Howie

I took this photo using my snap and shoot digital through a scope I was using to count migratory birds passing just north of the Alaska Range. Every evening I marveled at the beauty of the moon and this photo captures that child inside of me that always wonders at the universe we live in.

Location: Ferry, Alaska
