Avatar? - Man dressed as Hindu God 'Shiva' on the streets

Photo and caption by Sarveshi Shukla
I was entering a multistoried mall in an upscale part of Dehradun, India when I saw the guard shouting at this impersonator asking him to leave the premises. He was cursing the guard in return. I quickly recalled these lines from a poem used in a campaign by Times of India called 'India Poised' - "There are two Indias in this country..... One India lives in the optimism of our hearts. The other India lurks in the scepticism of our minds."
Location: Astley Hall, Dehradun, Uttaranchal, India
