Vendors roped to Nile Cruise Ship
Category: Spontaneous Moments
Photo and caption by Robert Bakker
As we approached a lock on the Nile River, a boat full of vendors attached , with a rope, to our Nile Cruise Ship. It was a real balancing act, on their part, as hey proceeded to hurl garments to the top floor of the boat and my water level balcony, then haggled over price, all the while keeping their balance in the boat. As we got closer and closer to the lock, they disengaged and fellow vendors, in concert, picked up, either the garment or money once the boat was lifted up in the lock.
Location: Nile River near Luxor, Egypt
