Indian Soul

Category: Travel Portraits

Photo and caption by Dylan Herman

During my stay with an Indian family a rural village in northern India named Majkhali, I befriended this woman. Along with the many other villagers, she welcomed me into her life and allowed me to take a look into her daily life. I was shown her core and being as a human, without language or the distractions of a constant changing society. The look in her face that I captured in this photograph expresses a part of that connection.

Location: Majkhali, Uttarakhand - northern India.
