Synchronicity

Category: Sense of Place

When carrying a Hasselblad film camera, I tend to stop & watch through the view finder, like a movie unfolding in front of me. This time I decided to sit & watch, on the floor of Shwedagon Paya. Moments later, the sea of people parted, & a single monk decided to walk into the frame & stand in beautiful harmony with the backdrop, just long enough to snap one image with a slow shutter. His friend came up to us just after the click, and started to explain how we are all connected in this world - much like how this image unfolded in front of me - in beautiful synchronicity.

Location: Shwedagon Paya
