Wanted: Private Nest for Diva Soloist
Category: Spontaneous Moments
Photo and caption by Gloria Montgomery
Barn swallows seem to like my front door entry since this is the second year they have built a nest above my front door. I shot this about two weeks before their parents kicked them out of the nest so they could start a new family. I loved their expression, especially in the swallow that is just sitting there looking bored to death, wanting her nest mates to hush. Her--or his -- expression is priceless. She's above it all, a diva in waiting. I shot this with a Leica V Lux 1.
Location: Harker Heights, Texas, Leica, birds, Barn Swallows
