"Mirrors"

Category: Travel Portraits

Photo and caption by Sandy Aquila

A glance that transmitted a lifetime of knowledge. A stolen moment in time between a mother and daughter as they are about to perform traditional Indian dance. This was taken at Chokhi Dhani Village in India, which is a mirror of Rajasthani ancestry. Their purpose is to preserve and encourage the village art and tradition, to get today's generation closer to their past and to educate about the philosophy of Indian village culture.

Location: Jaipur, India
