Notre Dame de la nuit
Category: Sense of Place
Photo and caption by Aaron Kleiman
Walking the Seine River, my wife & I rounded the back of Notre Dame to admire the flying buttresses. As we were crossing a bridge to leave we turned back to see this ethereal sight. The grey rain clouds that had been wetting our evening walk set a wonderful backdrop, that when combined with the lighting on the cathedral made it standout magnificently. The trees, vines & the green glow of the lights added to the mystery. Canon 7D with 17-85mm lens, f/9 for 0.6sec @ 26mm, ISO3200. Out of camera w/ no post development, w/ exception of having to compress the jpg since the original was 7.16MB
Location: Paris, France
