Granaries of Gold
Category: Outdoor Scenes
Photo and caption by Brian Lingle
One grain elevator can hold millions of dollars worth of wheat but the real value of this particular kind of "gold" is it's use for food. A half mile long grain elevator in Hutchinson, Kansas is seen, here, reflected in a lake formed by an old sand pit. Birds nest in the branches of dead trees in a small island in the middle of the lake.
Location: East 11th street, on the outskirts of Hutchinson, KS, USA
