Walking the ponds of Nymphenburg Palace with my wife in Munich, Germany, we saw a number of these majestic swans around. This one seemed particularly brave & intrigued by my camera. After exiting the water briefly & walking right up to me she turned her back on me & settled into the pond. The blackness of the calm water paired with the stark contrast of her pure white feathers to create a perfect natural backdrop that served to crystallize the beautiful heart shape of this magnificent creature. Canon 7D with 17-85mm lens, f/4.5 for 1/100sec @ 32mm, ISO100. Out of camera w/ no post development.
