- A storm was fast approaching but one could see sunlight off in the distance. Made a wonderful contrast on the water and all the shades of grey give an atmosphere of sadness just before the storm hit and let loose a torrent of rain.

- Mountain town flooded by fog
- field_caption
- This is Aosta, in the middle North West corner of Italy, on the Alps. at about midnight of the 31st December 2009 the town was covered by a very thick fog, I immediately drove uphill and found out the whole valley was also lighted by a very bright full moon reflecting on the snowed mountains. The photo is straight out of the camera, didn't need any retouching whatsoever. I was witnessing an incredible piece of artwork created all by the Nature itself.

- Boracay has never ceased to amaze many people from all over the world. With its white crystal sand, pristine blue waters, and beautiful sunsets, this place still tops the list of the most visited and beautiful resorts in the Philippines.

- Known for its more than 4,000 temples in a 26-sq-mi space within a dusty, flat plain, the best times to experience the serenity and scope of Bagan are dawn and dusk. After heading from my hotel's cozy bed and climbing in the dark with my camera and tripod to set up on a ledge of Minyeingone Pagoda, this was my reward -- the unlayering of Myanamar's ancient city of temples.

- I will never forget the opportunity I had to be up close and personal with a tiger in Chiang Mai Thailand. I love this shot because you really get the sense that you can touch him he was as his nose comes sharply into focus and the rest of him softly blurs out of focus. Almost surreal.

- This is a shot of Jökulsárlón Glacier Lake. It is situated at the south end of Vatnajökull between Skaftafell National Park and Höfn. This lake was made famous after being in several movies like Tomb Raider and Die Another Die. I took this shot in the middle of a sunny day, but way underexposed it, trying to pick up the detail in the backlit ice. (Canon 10D, 28-125 @ 28mm, ISO 100, 1/125, f/16)

- Lake Atitlan Fisherman
- field_caption
- We were staying at a hotel on the shore of Lake Atitlan and we decided to get up early to photograph the lake. The fishermen go out early every morning so I wanted to get a shot of a fisherman paddling on the lake in front of the volcano. Luckily for me, a fisherman headed out just as the early morning light started to light up the sky.

- Balanced rock stacks at beach
- field_caption
- Just after sunrise at Surfers' Point, in Ventura, Calif., stacks of precisely balanced rocks remain impeccably still against coastal winds and lapping water, while surfers catch chilled morning waves in the background. The art of balancing rocks has quite a history and following; there are also different styles based on how the rocks are balanced and interact with one another. These particular totemic creations sometimes appear around beaches in California; their creators often anonymous, unless you happen to be lucky enough to see a stacker in action!
