- we were on a small boat watching nanatees. The water was like the surface of glass. When the sun had moved below the horizon it lit up the cloudes from below. It was just absolutely beautiful to watch the clouds and the shoreline mirror-image reflected on the water's surface.

- Hiking on the Perito Moreno glaciar, one might contemplate the vast amount of space made uninhabitable by ice. Then again, this entity is somewhat of an organism itself, taking on a life of its own as it slowly flows down the valley.

- After spending the day surfing and sunbathing at Muizenburg, we hopped on the train and headed down the coast of False Bay. We decided to explore the quirky little shops of Kalk Balk and take shelter from the dark clouds rolling in. All of the sudden, a single ray a light burst through the clouds and cut a slice of sunshine through a handful of boats in the harbor. This photo reminds me of how beautiful but conflicted South Africa can be.
