- These two old ladies take a swim every morning at sunrise. I was standing on the beach warmly wrapped up in a jacket, but they weer swimming. I am not sure whether there were there for the supposed healing effects of the cold water or just to watch the surreal sunrise. Never mind their reason, either reason is good enough to be there at sunrise.

- I wanted to capture the illusion I was seeing in this reflection. The thin slice of land looked as if it was piercing the sky like a speeding bullet entering the water.

- Hidden away from most of the tourists visiting the area around Bohinj in Slovenia, this little gorge is a place of both solitude and beauty. Wonderfully carved rocks and crystal-clear water form the character of the canyon. This little corner was interesting in two ways. For one you see those wild curved and washed out rocks here and then there was this group of autumn leaves trapped is a swirl. All that together with the stunning quality and color of the water was a subject not allowed to be passed by.

- I had seen Cheetahs in captivity and was sorry to hear that once captured it is very difficult to release them because they have to be taught to hunt by the mothers. How happy I was when we came across these three. No captivity cheetah could compare. Mama Cheetah had done her job well up bringing this strong and health pair of sisters in the Timbaviti Game Reserve of South Africa. Hopeful they too will continue to raise majestic offspring so that these magnificence cats can be enjoyed in the wild for decades to come.

- Early morning at Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains, Tennessee. The misty fog was very thick to the ground and as the sun was rising so was the burning off of the misty fog. The mist gave this bare and lonely tree a quiet but erie feel as the misty fog moved around it.

- On the crest of the eastern Andes, about an eight-hour drive on a dirt road from Cuzco, Peru, is an expansive vista of one of the most diverse forests on earth. Storm clouds boil up in the pink evening sky, and fog advances over the foothills. The rain and fog suffuse the mountains with the moisture that makes them so astonishingly full of life.

- Horsetail Falls under Moonlight
- field_caption
- Horsetail Falls lit by the setting moon in the early morning hours. Unlike the typical last sunlight on Horsetail Falls in February, this phenomenon is much rarer as the moon sets in different locations everyday. With the perfect moon alignment and full flowing water I was able to capture "fire falls" by last moonlight with stars in the sky above.
