- I took this photo while in the popular area of Thamel located in Kathmandu, Nepal. Thamel is renowned for its happening nightlife, abundance of travelers, and the many pedal bike rickshaw drivers. I wanted to capture the craziness of Thamel and Kathmandu that makes it such a popular hotspot for both tourists and locals.

- A daring wedding photographer in Central Park risks everything to get to a perfect spot for that perfect shot. Sure, a wedding couple will be pleased with the image, but how does one go back?

- The Reverse Blessing
- field_caption
- I took this shot in the famous Meenakshi Amman Temple in Madurai. There is a custom in all south indian temples where the pilgrims offer money or food to the temple elephant and get blessing from the elephant in turn. Usually the pilgrims will bow in front of the elephant and the elephant will tap its trunk in the pilgrims head which is treated as a blessing. The opposite happened here where a foreign pilgrim stood reverse and got blessing from the elephant. It was really funny.

- Inside the Bubble!

- Mat’s Birthday party! It was just starting to get dark, and we had strong blast of wind that would come and go, and it looked like rain. We figure! “We had just enough time for our bubbles” I thought it would be no use to get my camera out! “Oh Boy” was I wrong! “I love this shot” Times like this is when I love Photographer! Spontaneous!! Momentary impulse! Is to capture memories and make time stand still.

- Digging A Well
- field_caption
- This photograph is of a Nepali man digging a well at an orphanage in Surkhet, Nepal. During the dry season in Nepal, there are many water shortages throughout the country which sometimes forces some Nepali people to be spontaneous and dig for pressurized ground water. This well was 15 meters deep (45ft)and was dug by one person using only a pick axe, 2 large ropes, and a potato sack.

- Testing his survival skills, my son Steven placed bread for the unsuspecting seagull and lay in wait for the perfect moment to spring forward and capture "dinner". To his dismay, the crafty bird got away, but not without leaving its surprised expression for me to capture.

- Splash!
- field_caption
- In the southern town of Chania on the island of Crete, the bay opens up into the Mediterranean Sea, with no land in sight before Africa. This being the case, the tides are unpredictable day by day, and on this particularly afternoon, they were especially wild coming onto the boardwalk with fury. For this shot, I was waiting for the 'perfect splash' and in this instance where I could feel the tide coming in, I clicked and ran for cover to avoid by lens getting wet. When I looked at the photo later on, I was pleased to see how the 'perfect splash' had perfectly framed the Chania lighthouse.

- Young hadzabe boys hunting marabou storks along the shore of Lake Eyasi, Tanzania. The bird flew over the two boys as they were walking along the shore, and one fired a speculative arrow at the bird. I was lucky enough to capture the arrow in mid flight - the bird got away unscathed. The Hadzabe are amongst the last functional hunter-gatherers in the world.
