  This holiday is called Tomb Sweeping day. This is when families go to certain locations on the corners of streets and burn paper money for their ancestors. Every corner is filled with people and fires.

  Buskers are littered everywhere in Paris. Mostly talented, they often capture the attention of the passengers of the walkway. This group of buskers, for instance, managed to do so with the commuters of the efficient system of the Paris metro network. The traffic stood still when they were playing, but as soon as the short intermission between songs started, the standstill ended.

  I was taking pictures of people drinking water from this beautiful but small fountain close to the famous Duomo Cathedral in Milan, Italy. It was a long line of thirsty people and that line included children. This little girl was thirsty but she knew I was there. Just as I was going to snap another picture of her, she looked straight at me and I took this picture. But by her suddenly looking at me while drinking, I honestly got a shock. I was at least 10 to 15 feet away from this fountain but this picture made me feel I was just directly in front of her.

  The Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo, Japan is the biggest wholesale fish and seafood market in the world, handling over 2,000 metric tons (2,000,000 kg) of seafood per day. I was wandering at a disposal area behind the market looking for my friend when I spotted an enormous pile of discarded foam boxes, used earlier in the morning to contain seafood. As I stood there gawking at the pile, an elderly guard emerged from his little office buried among the boxes, let out a little sigh and slowly navigated his way through for his mid-morning break.

  While trekking in a remote part of China, I stayed for a night where the only lodging was available---a Catholic Church. Church service was the next day and these ladies were waiting to go inside. I motioned to take their picture and they nodded "yes". Using the camera feature in my Ipod Touch, I snapped away. The lady to the left never stopped smiling but the lady on the right showed a range of emotions that swung from surprise to laughter.
