- I photographed every evening in different Wats for about a week in Luang Prabang, Laos. At Sunset the monks all chant and pray. This one evening as I was crouched to the ground, photographing the monks, this little boy entered my viewfinder. It was just one of those magic moments.

- PORTUGAL – ALVITE . . .. A scene from the past….. in an isolated picturesque small village of central Portugal. These old ladies were knitting warm socks with woolen lisle from their sheep. Their gatherings are good opportunities for some gossip and exchange of village news.

- At a traditional dance show in January 2010 in Bengaloru. On the way to Hampi, we passed one evening in Bengalore and went to a traditional dance show with an Indian friend, a "retired dancer". Behind us, this very elegant Indian was totally absorbed by the show we can see in his glasses.

- Its 5.30pm. My Train is passing through lush green fields. Suddenly thick clouds covered the sky. The evening sunrays passing through these clouds painted a fluorescent green color over the already beautiful green fields. I was enjoying the cool breeze and mesmerized by the serene landscapes. It felt like travelling through a dream land. When I looked around to see if i was the only one who felt like this, I spotted this old lady savoring the beauty of nature.

- The Lower Omo Valley in Ethiopia holds an incredibly diverse array of tribes within a small area. The Hamer tribe is one of the largest and most recognisable due to the women who plat their hair and colour it with red clay. This photograph was taken in the small town of Turmi, close to where many of the Hamer people live.

- A journey to India's famed Kumbh Mela is like travelling back in time. For two weeks I roamed the town and backstreets of Northern India's Hardiwar. Many of the members of the brotherhood of Yogis and Swamis life a live style that is steeped in a culture that is over 5000 years old. When I saw this other worldly vision making its way towards me I knew it was one of those moments that transcend a mere portrait. I held his gaze and he mine that was so quiet and intense that i fired a bracketed series of of four exposures and was actually able to render the photo as a HDR image.
