  I was visiting the Bayon (one of the temples in Angkor Wat) early in the morning when i spotted these four girls getting ready for work: posing for photographs with tourists in typical ancient dance moves. I didn't care for the posed photos as much as I did for capturing them in a more natural, relaxed way.

  July 1, 2007- A dancer prepares, backstage, for a daytime outdoor performance. All of the performers did their own make-up and prepared their own costumes. In this image, the dancer is trimming the crown of flowers she is wearing. Dance performances happened almost daily while I was there; some were during the day and some were at night. In all of the performances I attended the make-up and costumes were beautifully intricate and colorful.
