  I shot this while bent over in one of those tiny Suzukis hatchbacks from the 80s- probably one of the only models of cars able to travel through Kathmandu's narrow maze of streets. I was intrigued by how close the shops and walls came up to me. It was raining and shop owners hunkered down into their little shops carved into the walls of the maze. It was dark, the tiny Suzuki was bumpy, but I wanted to capture their faces peering out at commuters. This woman caught my attention and we made eye contact for that one short moment.

  This was in New Delhi, shot at the Jama Masjid. This girl drew the attention of the camera so strongly as she walked towards the metal detectors - the engagement of her eyes, and the baby, created such a strong emotion to the image within the chaos all around her.

  Shot in Rodos, Greece. I was there for 4 days, you know, walking around and on the first day i had a chat with the guys that owns the car (the one in the shot) and i told him that my grandfather is from Thessaloniki, so for the remaining days, every time i passed him he would say "good morning thessaloniki"and i would say "good morning Rodos". on the last day he saw me coming from the other said of the road and yalled "still here thessaloniki" and this time took this shot before answering "good by rodos" (it was my last night over there).

  This girl lives in the Chinese old village formed in the 15th century. The dark stone houses and narrow streets are what she can see every day in her village. For her,her father painted the wall of his house white and she painted what she wanted to say on that white wall.

  The Theyyam performer during the makeup. Theyyam is a ritual dance form performed in temples of North Kerala , in India. Its known for the folklore songs,intense color . Mainly performed by lower cast Hindus , though some areas Muslims also participate in theyyam.

  While on vacation in Italy, I chanced upon this group of nuns in Cortona. The scene brought back fond childhood memories of the kind nuns in grade school who gave us inexpensive gifts for a job well done. I imagine these nuns were doing the same.
