- Last October we sailed into a remote part of Mozambique only to discover a huge sand dune that had never been paraglided before. We spent quite a few days here enjoying this magnificent landscape.

- Dog Sled Camp atop Juneau Glacier in Alaska. I Shot this photograph with a Canon 5D Mark II. 24-70mm lens, f 9.0 1/500 iso 100. Hanging off the back of a sled during my first Dog Sled experience. The Sun was the brightest I have ever felt and the Dogs were happy to run. Definitely one of the most heavenly places I have ever been.

- On my 40th birthday, I took advantage of the rare Seattle sunshine and went out with my camera. After many frustrating attempts at wildlife photography, I turned and caught this reflection on Lake Washington's surface. The "clouds" are actually the sand on the bottom of the lake and the darker "blue sky" is actually the vegetation on the bottom of the lake. It was surreal, like looking into another world. It was as if nature created a Monet/Dali hybrid just for me. It vanished within minutes.

- I was impressed by Hawaii's nature by the time I got there. Its great power not only brings death but also life. Life emerges from the volcanic ashes of Kilauea and reforms a lava desert to a lively green forest.

- I took this picture when I traveled around the Jigoku Valley in Nagano prefecture, Japan. In Jigoku Vally, there is an outdoor hot spring bath that's just made for snow monkeys. A baby monkey was taking the bath with his eyes looking up anxiously.
