Follow their poo!</p><p>I'm Lucie McNeil and this is National Geographic On Assignment\u2014your link to thousands of Nat Geo Explorers working around the world.</p><p>Today we're off to Northeastern Argentina.\u00a0 National Geographic's Karen DeMatteo is trying to find out how endangered jaguars and<a name=\"_GoBack\"></a> other big carnivores navigate the dwindling forests.</p><p>Train, her canine partner, can sniff out the carnivore's poop, called scat, with amazing accuracy.</p><p>DNA analysis of that scat can reveal which species and individual left it.</p><p>By adding in GPS data, her team can establish where the animals are roaming.</p><p>The goal is to create protected corridors where these carnivores can hunt and survive.</p><p>That's National Geographic On Assignment\u2014your link to our Explorers.</p>",
